I created this title sequence for Inside Cinequest in After Effects using the provided festival graphics. We only had a few days to get content together and up for viewing. It was a mad rush but we made it!

Long Distance Clip

Here’s an update on my short Long Distance. This is just a clip that my DP Tosh Xiong shot and uploaded with a little color correction. It’s a pretty dark piece and this sets the mood perfectly.

I’m hoping to have a rough cut soon and then I can move on to casting for the voice overs.

It was a very quick, intense shoot. We were able to get some great footage. I can’t wait to cut it together and post for all to see!

Short in Pre-Production

Working on the script for a short! I need a few final touches and it should be good to go soon.

The story is a drama that takes place in one location. There is a heavy twist at the end, sure to knock those socks right off your feet!

The scheduled shoot dates will be in October. We’re aiming to turn this into Cinequest 20 with a showing in February-March 2010. Keep your fingers (and your eyes) crossed!

I’ll be posting the script and more updates on here as they come…

My DP will be shooting on the Panasonic GH1 in HD. We’re looking forward to seeing what the workflow will be like. I hear it’s great in low-light situations but not so hot in bright daylight. We should primarily be shooting inside, depending on the house I find!

I’ve been able to volunteer at the Cinequest Film Festival in downtown San Jose. Working with great passionate people and meeting even more of them everyday has been a wonder.

Vagrant Realty

This short was submitted to the 2008 48Hour Film Festival in San Jose under the genre of comedy. Just like the San Francisco version of this festival, all films were completely created in less than 48 hours.
